WeCan Group and United Signals enter strategic partnership

Geneva, 16.09.2024 – Wecan Group, a pioneer in efficient and secure data exchange, today announces a strategic partnership with United Signals, a leading provider of digital onboarding and document generation solutions. This collaboration aims to offer a holistic digital journey for end-clients, external asset managers, and custodian banks. Together, they are facilitating the onboarding and repapering processes through a seamless, secure, and fully digital experience.

A partnership for a holistic digital journey from clients to business partners

The collaboration between Wecan Group and United Signals enables the digitization of KYC processes between External Asset Managers (EAM) and their clients. It also facilitates secure and confidential data transmission to custodian banks without any manual input or duplication. Data collection is customized for each entity via a portal, where consistency is verified, and internal validation is conducted through workflows. Contractual documentation can be generated and digitally signed by clients, with data synchronization between EAM and banks occurring at onboarding and throughout the client lifecycle.

Data is securely stored in a vault that is not accessible to either partner.

Innovative security technologies, such as blockchain and advanced cryptography, ensure that data transfers from the EAM vault to the bank vault without being accessible to third parties, including IT providers. This vault is seamlessly integrated into United Signals’ workflows and can be connected to other existing IT solutions, including core banking systems, portfolio management systems (PMS), and customer relationship management systems (CRM).

By partnering with United Signals, we are furthering our mission to provide secure, efficient, and fully digital solutions for financial institutions,” said Philippe Reynier, CEO of  Wecan Group. “Our combined technologies will enhance the client experience and streamline operations for asset managers and custodian banks.

We are very pleased to partner with Wecan Group, a pioneer in secure blockchain-based data exchange,” said Daniel Schaefer, CEO of United Signals. “Our expertise in delivering seamless digital onboarding and document workflow solutions, combined with Wecan Group’s innovative data storage technologies, allows us to set new standards for compliance data management in the financial industry.
