Vincent Pignon Takes the Helm of Wecan Following SealSQ’s (Nasdaq: LAES) Entry into the Company’s Capital

Geneva, October 29, 2025 — Wecan, the Swiss pioneer in digital compliance solutions for regulated institutions, announces that its founder, Vincent Pignon, is resuming leadership of the company following the acquisition of 28% of its capital by cybersecurity firm SealSQ, listed on the Nasdaq (LAES).

This transaction marks a decisive milestone in Wecan’s history, strengthening its position as a key player in the digital transformation of compliance within the financial sector.

“SealSQ’s entry into our capital reinforces our ambition to build the world’s compliance infrastructure for regulated institutions,” said Vincent Pignon, Founder and CEO of Wecan. “We are convinced that compliance should no longer be seen as a constraint, but as a driver of trust, efficiency, and growth.”

Founded in 2015 in Geneva, Wecan has established itself as a leading RegTech player in Switzerland.

The company currently collaborates with more than one hundred financial institutions, including major Swiss banks, independent asset managers, auditors, and outsourced compliance service providers. Its goal is clear: to simplify, automate, and secure compliance processes while ensuring the highest level of auditability and data traceability.

The Wecan Comply platform embodies this vision.

It digitizes the entire information collection and sharing process, enabling single data entry that simultaneously feeds multiple counterparties’ forms.

Thanks to its distributed architecture, the platform guarantees redundancy, resilience, and data security, while allowing smooth and secure information exchange between financial actors — even outside the platform itself.

According to Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeKey and SealSQ:

“This strategic investment reflects our shared vision to build a trusted and resilient digital infrastructure for the global financial ecosystem. Wecan has demonstrated remarkable leadership in transforming compliance into a catalyst for efficiency, transparency, and trust. By combining SEALSQ’s leadership in cybersecurity and post-quantum technologies with Wecan’s unique compliance platform, we are laying the foundation for a new era of secure digital collaboration for regulated institutions worldwide.”

This approach addresses one of the industry’s major challenges: reconciling regulatory rigor, data protection, and operational efficiency in an ever-evolving environment.

The Geneva-based company is ISO 27001 certified, demonstrating its commitment to information security, and proudly carries the “Swiss Made Software” label.

A recipient of multiple innovation awards, Wecan now benefits from the strength of the SealSQ Group, which has more than 300 employees worldwide. SealSQ’s expertise in cybersecurity and post-quantum encryption opens up new technological horizons for Wecan.

Wecan’s Roadmap

In the short term, the company will launch an AI-based interface for intelligent KYC file updates, along with direct integration with major market CRMs, enabling automatic document pre-filling.

By 2026, Wecan plans to integrate SealSQ’s post-quantum encryption technology and roll out a digital identity module to further strengthen data protection and trust among institutions.

Looking ahead to 2027–2028, the company aims to introduce real-time compliance powered by blockchain technology, as well as predictive AI tools for risk analysis and proactive regulatory management.

Wecan’s ultimate goal is to deliver predictive, real-time, and fully secure compliance on a global scale.

Building on Swiss technological excellence and an international partner ecosystem, the company seeks to redefine the standards of digital trust for regulated institutions.

“Compliance must become a driver of performance, not a source of complexity,” concluded Vincent Pignon.

“Our mission is to build a global infrastructure where trust, security, and transparency form the foundation of a more efficient and sustainable financial system.”
